Jesus was a freeloader. The WTBTS isnt any different. They'll chalk it up to persecution. "Move along, people. And DON'T forget to turn in more hours next month! i don't and am very unlikely to after seeing my father dying of a smoking related lung disease (even though i would like to try a high quality cigar).. but i am curious to see how many people take up smoking after leaving the org.. .

I chew Copenhagen and have since Junior year in high school all the while going to meetings/service. Its amazing how you can hide that shit in your lip and no one suspects you of being a "sinner". Its been 20 years since I started chewing and officially made my exodus a few years ago.

Rush's 2112

my fiancee and i were discussing what rush's 2112 is.

for those of you that don't know, 2112 is a piece, about 20 minutes long, divided into 7 movements.

we can't quite agree on what to call it... "song" doesn't live up to the full effect, as it has more in common with an oratorio than a pop song.

Have You Ever Gone To Meetings While Under The Influence Of Booze Or Drugs?

i had an italian elder friend that regularly drank his wine (daily) and it was obvious that on some thursday or tuesday evenings, he was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

quite often, we would have a 3:00 sunday afternoon elder's meeting and once again, i could tell he had been drinking.. nobody ever brought it up but i knew him well and he loved his vino and martinis!.

we had a number of people on meds that would either act like zombies at the meetings or cry or get aggressive.

I chief'ed once before going to bookstudy at the KH. I was hoping i'd get some miraculous supernatural insight about what was going on. However I still didn't pay attention to what was going on, and didn't get any insight either.

im not exactly sure when this change came in, but when i was a kid i remember it either being.

"____ has been disfellowshipped or dissasociated".

if someone has been announced to the congregation as no longer a jw then they are the same as any other non-jw.
